چکیده
Abstract The flood is one of the frequently occurring natural hazards within sub-basin Lake Tana. hazard Tana causes damage to cropland, properties, and a fatality every season. Therefore, susceptibility modeling in this area significant for reduction management purposes. Thus, analytical hierarchy process (AHP), bivariate (information value [IV] frequency ratio [FR]), multivariate (logistic regression [LR]) statistical methods were applied. Using an intensive field survey, historical document, Google Earth Imagery, 1,404-flood locations determined, classified into 70% training datasets 30% testing using subset geographic information system (GIS) environment. relationship between probability occurrence 11 flood-driving factors was performed GIS tool. maps study developed by summing all weighted aspects raster calculator. It very low, moderate, high, high classes breaks method. accuracy performance models evaluated under curve (AUC). As result indicated, FR model has better (AUC = 99.1%) compared AHP 86.9%), LR 81.4%), IV 78.2%). This research finds out that applied are quite worthy area. In modeling, method selection not serious challenge; care should tend input parameter quality. Based on AUC values, comparatively better, followed regional land use planning, mitigation, prevention
